I understand how you feel. I had the same reaction when I first heard this quote. As if it were some sort of twisted paradox. To me, it is not a spectator sport.
When I first heard the quote, I thought to myself, “I’m not playing any part here. I’m just sitting back and watching this go down.” But then I realized, that’s not what this quote really means at all. The only thing that Christian religion is about is something that you are completely involved in.
You are part of it, no matter who you are or who you were raised to be.
